Remembered in statue and song as a no-nonsense swordswoman in rose-themed armor, bearing her ancestral thorned blade, the Rosa Argentis.
Personality
Capable, direct, and unflinching. Though she claimed to be exiled royalty from Nidal, she famously set aside her crown's claim, declaring, 'I would rather be a hero than a princess.'
Backstory
Exiled from Nidal, Vol carried her family's silver-rose blade across the Inner Sea, winning renown in arena combat and monster-slaying. It was her idea to unite the heroes who became the Roseguard, and her rose symbol that gave them their name. Five centuries ago the Roseguard founded Otari, and the town honors her each Founders' Day with Vol's Swordfighting competition.
