A kitsune raised as a temple guardian in the Kortos Mountains, carrying the reserved bearing of a cloistered, ascetic upbringing.
Personality
Generally aloof and often overwhelmed in crowds of more than a few, never having adapted to loud, urban life. Duty-bound to protect the natural and spiritual realms, even into danger.
Backstory
Shiro was born to a family of temple guardians high in the Kortos Mountains, but broke with their ascetic, isolated traditions and left home upon reaching adulthood, angering his parents; the rift with his mother, Aka, has never healed, and he has neither seen nor spoken to his family in the three years since. He settled just outside Otari, living among nature and coming into town to trade herbs and offer animistic services. He is often seen helping Wrin Sivinxi commune with the spirits and has befriended the local druid Worliwynn over their shared devotion to nature. Though trained in arms as a temple guardian, Shiro never expected a life of adventure, but the strange goings-on around Otari have left the spirits restless, and he feels bound to investigate.
